Virginia Muzquiz
Biography
Virginia Muzquiz (Moose*Keys) is the Executive Director of BNI Mid-America and frankly, she’s been developing businesses most of her life, including a tutoring company and a Spanish-language services company. She also distinguished herself as a top sales person in Mary Kay Cosmetics, winning 5 Mary Kay diamond rings and earning the use of 3 career cars. In 2005 Virginia took on the challenge of creating a No Child Left Behind division for a local tutoring franchise, and in less than six years grew that division from $0 in annual revenue to over $2.5 million in annual revenue – by referral!
In 2010, Virginia brought the Referral Institute to St. Louis and in less than 18 months distinguished herself as a Top Producer and has been honored with the Referral Institute President’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the organization and became an Executive Circle member of the Referral Institute International. While running Referral Institute, Virginia’s clients followed her proven system to generate word-of-mouth business and consistently experienced exponential in their business as well as FAR MORE balance in their lives.
Presently, Virginia focuses her time supporting business owners by creating and growing BNI (Business Network International) chapters all across St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri. With literally hundreds of people who follow her systems and direction, Virginia’s referral network methodologies generate millions of dollars in new business for her BNI members – all without having to work harder, and instead working their network smarter!
An accomplished graduate of Dartmouth College, Middlebury College and Washington University, she is an accomplished teacher, having taught at Deerfield Academy and Washington University. Virginia has been recognized by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, the University of Chicago and Washington University for excellence in teaching.
Virginia lives in O’Fallon, IL with her husband, two daughters, two horses, two dogs and a flock of egg laying hens. In her spare time, Virginia grows and preserves her own veggies, knits, reads and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
